Every day we see a lot of amazing stories on Instagram – photos with beautiful backgrounds, different elements on the stories which could not be found on the Instagram’s GIFs section. And all we do while looking at these is wondering “How for God’s sake are they doing this?”.
Don’t worry, I will tell you all their secrets! And I will show you the fastest and easiest way to do this kind of stories yourself.
APPS YOU NEED TO MAKE AMAZING INSTAGRAM STORIES
Canva
Canva is a free app which offers millions of different ready-to-use templates, stickers, elements such as frames, flowers, flamingos, and everything else that you could think of. It even offers free photos!
There is also Canva Pro which is paid and offers more templates, photos, graphics, etc. I use the free app and it is more than enough for me.

Adobe Photoshop Mix
Photoshop Mix is also a free app which offers combining different photos into one – your photo with a beautiful background. It also has some nice filters.
PicMonkey
PicMonkey is an app that offers functions such as these on Canva. The thing is that you have only a 7-day free trial. After that you have to purchase a monthly plan for around $8 a month. I think it’s pretty good and it’s worth it, although I don’t use this app.
Unfold
Unfold is a free app… well, almost free. You can use most of the templates for free. Also, it offers a text insertion on your photos. Some of the templates are paid. But the free ones are actually pretty nice.
StoryArt
StoryArt is my second favorite app. It offers beautiful templates, filters and text insertions with nice fonts. I use this app for my stories almost every day. Have in mind that some of the templates and filters are paid.
more ready-to-use templates
As I already said, I love Canva. I can make an instagramable story there literally in just 2 minutes. I have ready-to-use templates/pictures on my phone which I just upload to Canva and then I add my photos and text. It’s the easiest and fastest way to make your stories.
My templates’ sets include 10 different backgrounds. I just upload them all to my Canva’s account and that way they are always there so I can use them both through my phone and my computer no matter if I’m at work or at the mall.
Once I’m ready with my story, I save it to my phone and then upload it to Instagram. Also, there is an option to upload it directly on Instagram but I like to have it on my phone’s Gallery.
What is more, this story is saved to my Canva’s account as my design, so for my next story I just go to this design and change the photo and the text.
